A diploma in Epigraphy is an undergraduate level of study in which a certificate is awarded to the student who has successfully completed this course of education. Different aspects of epigraphy are taught in this course while archaeological aspects are also well related to it.

The duration of a diploma in epigraphy in India is of mainly three years. It can also be of two years at some institutions. Each year is divided into two six-month semesters.
